Not a bad deal - that resolution & refresh rate will look great on a 17" screen. The 3060 might struggle to push modern AAA games at 1440p, but it is the full wattage version. The 4800H is still a very capable CPU. I'd probably be more tempted at $1,200, but to each their own.

Never heard of it. Expect the thermals to be good though considering this is 17". Too expensive for me, but it looks nice and plain closed at least from pics provided.

Having the Tracer Edge 17inch from CyberPower PC with 130w 3060, it performs amazing for 1440p. 70+FPS ultra Borderlands 3, 100+FPS Warzone 1440 High Settings. 130w 3060 performs better than 3070 100w version from my testing.

Too expensive for old Zen 2, and a 3060. There are cheaper laptops with similar specs and better laptops for the same price. This would be a deal at like under $1100

Not with 1440p 17 inch screens there aren't.

1440p is more of a hindrance than a benefit for a mobile 3060, and you cant downscale to 1080p evenly when you run games that choke on 1440p. Youll also completely waste the 165hz screen on most AAA games due to 1440p. But regardless, even if you want 1440p, you can get 16" Zephyrus G15 or Lenovo Legion 5 Pro or whatever for $100 more and a much better CPU.

First off, the m16 from Asus is $1850 configured with the 3060 and 11800 from Best Buy. I got the Legion 5 Pro Walmart deal for $1400 and ended up returning it for a Eluktronics Max 17 with these same specs as the Prometheus for $1500. It's a better device for my use case. I love 1440p 165hz screen in this aspect ratio for the games I play (MCC and Destiny2, both of which take advantage of the the resolution and hz). So, as always YMMV. It's a good deal (the best price yet?) on this config. So, it you're in the market, not a bad option. Eluktronics is a pleasure to deal with as well.

Edit: this site doesn't have 'deals' but reflects standard pricing. Want a premium chassis with the same specs (or slightly better) in a thin n light? It's going to cost over $2k. Well, the Prometheus is still quite light but not as thin n light as the Max 17 which is $1600 on decent sale. If anyone wants a more detailed comparison of the two, I'm happy to discuss.
EDIT 2: The MAX 17 is $1500 at Amazon right now!! The lowest price I've seen and I think the lowest ever. I was only able to get that price a few weeks ago because I pointed out a pricing error to them. Both it and the Prometheus have very good strengths and a few weaknesses. Same excellent screen and software.

Do you know where I can find more details about these two Eluktronics chassis? I know they're from Tong Fang, but I haven't been able to find reviews with the same level of details as the one below, for example. I'm mainly interested in the internals and how they compare to Clevo's chassis. Thanks!

EDIT: Found this video showing significant chassis flex on the Prometheus XVII - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I...dZ0&t=204s

It is $400 more for the 3070 version with the Intel chip right now on sale. The 4800H is reportedly not ideal for gaming. https://www.amazon.com/Prometheus-Covert-Gamer-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B0919KBQ6R/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywo... [amazon.com]

There's also some beastly 5900HX models in the link above, though at full retail prices.
