Just purchased for my wife. She was going crazy about this item. As someone who shaves his head this is one such item which I have no interest in neither will be of any use ever… shit you have to do to keep them happy…*sigh*
Purchased this exact one for $450 about 3 weeks ago from dyson eBay. Is it worth trying to get the $50 back? Or is that out of the question?
The problem is availability. If you are willing to risk it, go ahead because even refurbished people will be snatching it up real quick..
I, unfortunately, paid almost retail price for this because of my wife's incessant nagging. Smh
I clicked on this link just to figure out wtf this was. From a Dyson refurb quality stance... I have always had good luck with vacuums (ball and v8) and fans - I have the full size with the filter and the smaller with heat / cool.
I have seen others with issue though, but it seemed like dyson always took care of it.
Thanks for your input. My fiancé has been dropping hints for a while now so I guess it's time to buy it. I hope we luck out on and get a good one.
Can anyone comment on the refurb quality? I have only purchased their vacuums (v7 and the dyson ball) but never the fans or hair tools.
The 6-12 month warranty on refurbs is a put off compared to 2 years on a new unit. (vacuums are 5 years).
My husband bought my a refurbish hair dryer 3-4 year ago I haven't had an issue so far.

Im hoping for a good experience as well.
Purchased Friday and it's already out for delivery today (Monday). It does help that it's coming from the main hub in my area which is about 25 miles away.
the airwrap's noise range is on the higher spectrum of human hearing, which thanks to nonlinearity of human hearing sensitivity, makes the noise a lot easier to tolerate even though airwrap produce just as much noise as any other hair dryer.
that feature may just worth the 400 dollar by itself
