Because they're individually packaged for convenience. Nice if you're on the go, but terrible from an economic standpoint, and obviously wasteful compared to a tub of Whey.
This works out to be a bit better than the premier protein vanilla shakes at BJ's that are Normally around $27 for 15 qty 11 ounce shakes. $.16 /oz vs about $.14 or better on this deal. Good deal imo
