It quotes a write speed of 1000mb/s, so it can't possibly be SATA - likely a nvme drive, but might be over a proprietary interface.

Amazon price matched for $69.99. May be a decent deal if you have 5% back with one of their cards and don't want to deal with Newegg.

But NewEgg has 15% on top of that bringing it to $59.50.

Yes, it comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable.

Although from my understanding Digital Foundry showed theres no difference between a traditional SATA SSD (~500 mbps) and an NVME SSD (~1000mbps; this one), however there is a noticeable difference between either flavor of external SSD and an external mechanical HDD.

The prior generation SATA SSDs have been pretty cheap as theyre getting replaced with newer NVME versions on the shelves. Costco had a 1Tb SATA one for $80 I think not that long ago. Regardless this is a solid price, but with the size of games being what they are now I personally would get a 1Tb external SSD.

I use the T5 for the PS5 as well, but you can only play PS4 games off of it (or simply store PS5 games).

The difference in loading times when using the external SSD for PS4 games is worth it, though, in my opinion.

Thanks, you're probably right about getting 1tb instead.

I tried the code on the 1tb Seagate expansion card for Xbox series X/S & it applied to that as well, in case you missed the deal last time. I'm assuming the code will work on other external drives as well
