  4. Make purchases at any of the following stores to begin earning the 5% Cashback Bonus:

Note: Cashback applies to purchases made between 10/1/21 and 12/31/21 only. Activate to earn 5% Cashback Bonus at Amazon.com, Walmart.com and Target.com from 10/1/21 (or the date on which you activate 5%, whichever is later) through 12/31/21, on up to $1,500 in purchases.

Agree… I'm laughing about the "scolding" you got for this… and that post is now highlighted. I guess this is for people who don't otherwise use their Discover, because the 5% message is right on the account page when you pay your bill.

I'm tempted to post free gas mileage with, "requirements to get the deal; 1) lift foot off pedal and coast downhill."

BTW… I coast down hills on my way to Walmart YMMV deals… it's called "discount stacking". SD-101 stuff right there… don't boast if you don't coast. I saved an additional twelve cents on that Legion 5 Pro. ;-)

True, but that's an optional category, right? If for three months you use Discover for these online purchases, you could change your BofA bonus category to something else.

(Of course, BofA covers all online purchases, while Discover covers just these big three.)

I have four BoA cash reward cash cards (visa and mc) ( mine two, and wife two), I setup each on a catalog.
Samsclub in store shopping , pay with "scan and go" is also treated as online shopping by BoA.
Buy online/PayPal with one, gas on the other one, travel on another one..., those cards make the discover card almost be idled

agreed, there's no juggling involved in 2021. this isn't 2007 where you needed to keep track of billing statements and due dates, mailing off checks, making phone calls to ensure you got your credits, etc. it's a worn out excuse used by people living in the last decade who still look for a physical plastic card to arrive in the mail so they can do their business with it. so many people still afraid to setup automatic payment. i hate to say it but some people setup auto payment to pay bill in full in january and pretty much have no reason to visit the discover website for the rest of the year.

I hope chase freedom doesnt have amazon and walmart too. Last year i think it was paypal and walmart
