It's a great price no doubt...but it's from Woot...so it can be a crapshoot.

Buy it refurbed from Secondipity or the Secondipity Ebay Shop. I did at around $180 w tax w the recent promo and it arrived in flawless condition yesterday.

Woot offers easy returns if it isn't in the condition it says it is. The Serendipity deal is good of you qualified for the discount code, but it didn't work on most ebay accounts including mine.

Good deal, i was trying to get the xm3's at the amazon 4 star store/costco for 170 less, but this is a much better deal. Glad i could snag one.

anyone have a good tip for a replacement earcup?

I hear you. I'd still prefer not to waste time and just go with Secondipity. Personally i'd pay the extra $20 difference right now to not waste time on the gamble and for the peace of mind to get them in flawless shape + the 30 day return window + 2 year included Squaretrade Warranty.

I just don't trust Woot these days.

Got mine for around the same during Xmas time. Secondipity came in looking unused at all and have been amazing

It's actually not an excellent deal because it effectively has no warranty and WOOT's stuff is very hit or miss. The deal on eBay is the same price, however it has a two year warranty.

Bluetooth devices do fail, and that warranty is worth a decent amount. Thus, even at $199 the Secondipity deal is still superior.

They just call them refurbished. When headphones get returned, they go back to the manufacturer and they end up on these sites. They can't sell them as new, so they pass them on and add new pads as needed.

That's why so many look brand new: they're worn for a tiny amount of time.

I snagged one from recent refurb deal. They sound OK but honestly I don't see why they're rated so highly. Ignoring the noise cancellation aspect i actually prefer the sound of my Galaxy buds live.

They did come looking new and with all the accessories minus instructions.

The WF XM3s sound good and have ANC, you can find them for cheap on eBay. WH headphones sound like crap.

I own a pair of Lives but the charging pins in the case snapped off.
