Not only is the price absurd but who the hell even wants to play games on something so big and wide like that. Constantly moving your head around just to see everything.
I currently play on my Odyssey G9 and what is this turning your head stuff you're talking about? Every game I played before going with this super ultrawide still plays the same, there's just more too your peripheral vision. You don't necessarily have to turn your head. But that extra information just helps with the immersion. I play a variety of games, in FPS games I focus on about 34" worth of the screen, like a 3440x1440 monitor. In sim racing games I get the benefit of seeing way more of my cockpit, thus making it more immersive. In Rocket League, and story base games like Fallen Order and RDR2 you see so much, it just looks cool imo. FIFA is also pretty dope, you almost see the whole pitch. Idk man, it's not a bad experience imo.

As someone who was one of the early adopters of ultrawide, back then when the u3415W came out, I ended up recently switching to a 32" 16:9 format. Apart from open world RPG's like Witcher 3, or needing to open 3 full sized windows side by side, in most situations I preferred the old 16:9 format. I find in most situations, such as any fps gaming, watching any Netflix, YouTube, crunchyroll videos, the 16:9 is superior. I also realized that my eyes notices more added verticality than added horizontal real estate. I can't imagine myself going back to ultrawide again, even less so a wider 32:9 format like this.

Technically these monitors are intended to be viewed a bit further away then you would other monitors. The 1000R curve (or whatever it's called) was designed with the intention that you sit 1,000 mm away from the monitor. This distance combined with the monitor's curve means that every part of the screen is equal distance from your eyes. Whether you decide to do that or have the space to do that is another matter.

Have you tried it? I could never go back. If tou have to move your head around then you're sitting way too close to that monitor.

This is actually considered super ultra wide. Ultrawide is 21:9.

I've owned enough expensive samsung screens to know QC is terrible and warranty redemption is even worse. For that reason alone this is a $1500 monitor max.

I bet these flicker too, still regret buying the flickerfest CF791 a few years ago, great image quality but shoddy support from Samsung. Their monitors have issues....
