My review having owned this:

TLDR: A great temporary tub which requires some DIY in order to work properly. Quirky features, gets dirty easy, expensive cheap quality filters.

Pros:
-Affordable
-Gets Hot
- Great for short term (1-3 years)
- Low electricity bill

Cons:
- 72 hour auto shut off timer is a nightmare
- Filters are way expensive and clog within days ( they recommend cleaning after each use which is insane) I was the only one who used the tub and showered before each use.
-If you are over 5'11 do not buy this. I kept the waterline over the "max" mark in order to barely cover my shoulders. Heat seeps out of the cover this way but it was necessary
- The cover is terrible, it essentially warps with the steam over time
- The bottom of the hot tub has no insultation, do not place on cold concrete
- Bubble feature pulls in cold air
-Temp gauge is not accurate. It would NEVER show 103 degrees, only 102 and 104, for some reason the tub would stop at 102 frequently and not heat up to 104.
-The pump lines are exposed and will also need insulation
-Even with the use of bromine, the tub is extremely difficult to clean without draining monthly, I used it 2-3 times a week for 5 months and had to drain 3 times to do a deep clean.

This fits two nicely. For it to last, you can't leave it outdoors all the time, especially in the cold. I'm 6'3" and it holds my wife and I perfectly

Anyone want one that in Las Vegas, NV. I got one brand new sealed never opened. I got as a gift and never used it.
If you'd be down to ship it to San Diego I'd pay it plus more for your gas and time. Would still be cheaper than this deal.

If not no worries. I hope someone nearer to you responds and gets a fantastic deal. Have a great weekend

I had one of these it was great and we used it almost every night. It was a great way to relax before bed and reconnect with your loved one.

As others have said the 72 hour timer is a huge pain in the butt. I set a 72 hour reminder on my phone to reset the filter/heater. If you don't it will drop in temp quickly and get stinky/nasty/ I used 1" chlorine tablets, 1 in the dispenser/floater is fine. If you end up developing nasty water it's easier and cheaper to drain and refill as opposed to dumping chemical after chemical to get the water balanced. After 1.5 years we developed an air leak. It was on the inside above the water line but under the cover. No matter what type of patch I used the moisture would work it's way in and compromise the patch. After 5 different attempts we call it.

Ordered this, but thinking of canceling. How is this allowed to be shipped to CA while other tubs that are far superior in insulation (included cover, ground mat, etc) not allowed? This thing has zero insulation on top or bottom and no cover for it to hide additional insulation wrap modifications (see UK Lay-Z-Spa). The Intex one with inflatable top and a cover allows the user to add more (more like hide) insulation if they want with an insulated floor mat, but it's not allowed to be shipped to CA.

Not looking for a CA debate, please, but looking for feedback and solutions. Assuming $30/mo with 0.08c/kWh as people mentioned in other states, I will expect $100-$120/mo at local rates. While it doesn't get below freezing, the product states 40F minimum ambient temperature and it gets that cold at night here, so $120 isn't out of the question. I plan to use this for fall, winter, and spring, so another product that can save $50/mo is more than worth it. Unfortunately, all the ones available to CA have no insulation.

FWIW, I've got the Colman SaluSpa version of this that has been running straight for 7 months. I thought these were made by the same company, so this bit of news is helpful!

I also ordered two of these to put under the unit and they work great to pad the floor and provide additional insulation: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DHL4W4Q

I replaced the water once before I figured out the proper water chemistry. If you use these strips https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E6E9PG and can keep your water in the proper zones, everything is great.

If the bubbles start to create a lot of foam, I use this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NJBA5C

Finally, as others have said, for the filters, you just need to hose em down from time to time. I think I use one a month -- if you use the stuff above, they will get clogged, so expect to hose em a day or two after!

160 gallons x 8lbs. per gallon = 1,280
tub = 68lbs.
2 people plus a kid or 2 = 500lbs.

Total = 1,848lbs.

Almost a ton on your deck - centered in a fairly small area.

Good luck!
Your typical tub is double the capacity and is much heavier overall for sure requires reinforcement.

I think these things you can get away without but proceed with caution.

I'd expect maybe 2 people comfortably.

Anyone own this?
I've been tempted but have always hesitated due to mediocre reviews and cost of ownership.
Would love if someone who owned it could slap a smart outlet and track energy use
As someone who has owned 2 of the Lay Z Spa tubs (Miami and Havana) over the last 5 years, here is my take on these: A lot of people overinflate these which causes the liner to fail prematurely. You never want to inflate these tubs more than 3-4 minutes (especially for the smaller models like this one) as you need to allow room for expansion from direct sun/heat. Many people also live in areas with intense summer sun and heat and leave these out in the direct sun which is incredibly hard on any inflatable tub. As for the cost of running them, it really all depends on your rate per kWh and how cold it gets in your area. During the winter months temps that dip well below freezing can send a bill through the roof (especially if you are paying in the neighborhood of 15-20 cents per kWh). These tubs use airjets/bubblejets which means they use the ambient air to create the bubbles in the tub NOT Hydrojets which is what regular hardside tubs use. The downside to this is that they use the ambient air to create jets which generally can cool the tub rapidly when used, so generally the solution is to only use the jets for a limited period of time in the colder months for each time you are in the tub.

The bottom line though is that these do better than a lot of people think when you consider what you are getting for as little as you spend.

Yes they can be cleaned but they're garbage, they're paper thin and after about 2-3 months its a nightmare to deep clean even after soaking in dish soap for a few minutes. If the filters aren't super clean the pump doesn't suck in water and the water doesn't heat, it codes and shuts down

Not sure how you enjoy it at 6', my shoulders barely cover sitting 90 degrees
The filters can last much longer than that. The trick is to pull them out of the tub and immediately spray them down before they dry. I've had sets that I've used since last year by doing this. You also make sure you swap them out. It's when you let them dry dirty that you have to jump through all the extra hoops to get them clean. Also helps if you swap them out a minimum of once a week even if you don't use the tub.
