TLDR: A great temporary tub which requires some DIY in order to work properly. Quirky features, gets dirty easy, expensive cheap quality filters.
Pros:
-Affordable
-Gets Hot
- Great for short term (1-3 years)
- Low electricity bill
Cons:
- 72 hour auto shut off timer is a nightmare
- Filters are way expensive and clog within days ( they recommend cleaning after each use which is insane) I was the only one who used the tub and showered before each use.
-If you are over 5'11 do not buy this. I kept the waterline over the "max" mark in order to barely cover my shoulders. Heat seeps out of the cover this way but it was necessary
- The cover is terrible, it essentially warps with the steam over time
- The bottom of the hot tub has no insultation, do not place on cold concrete
- Bubble feature pulls in cold air
-Temp gauge is not accurate. It would NEVER show 103 degrees, only 102 and 104, for some reason the tub would stop at 102 frequently and not heat up to 104.
-The pump lines are exposed and will also need insulation
-Even with the use of bromine, the tub is extremely difficult to clean without draining monthly, I used it 2-3 times a week for 5 months and had to drain 3 times to do a deep clean.

If not no worries. I hope someone nearer to you responds and gets a fantastic deal. Have a great weekend
As others have said the 72 hour timer is a huge pain in the butt. I set a 72 hour reminder on my phone to reset the filter/heater. If you don't it will drop in temp quickly and get stinky/nasty/ I used 1" chlorine tablets, 1 in the dispenser/floater is fine. If you end up developing nasty water it's easier and cheaper to drain and refill as opposed to dumping chemical after chemical to get the water balanced. After 1.5 years we developed an air leak. It was on the inside above the water line but under the cover. No matter what type of patch I used the moisture would work it's way in and compromise the patch. After 5 different attempts we call it.

Not looking for a CA debate, please, but looking for feedback and solutions. Assuming $30/mo with 0.08c/kWh as people mentioned in other states, I will expect $100-$120/mo at local rates. While it doesn't get below freezing, the product states 40F minimum ambient temperature and it gets that cold at night here, so $120 isn't out of the question. I plan to use this for fall, winter, and spring, so another product that can save $50/mo is more than worth it. Unfortunately, all the ones available to CA have no insulation.
As others have said the 72 hour timer is a huge pain in the butt.
I also ordered two of these to put under the unit and they work great to pad the floor and provide additional insulation: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DHL4W4Q
I replaced the water once before I figured out the proper water chemistry. If you use these strips https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E6E9PG and can keep your water in the proper zones, everything is great.
If the bubbles start to create a lot of foam, I use this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NJBA5C
Finally, as others have said, for the filters, you just need to hose em down from time to time. I think I use one a month -- if you use the stuff above, they will get clogged, so expect to hose em a day or two after!
This is a great spa.
I paid over 400 for same spa....Coleman...less than three months ago.
if your on the fence. Pull the trigger.
tub = 68lbs.
2 people plus a kid or 2 = 500lbs.
Total = 1,848lbs.
Almost a ton on your deck - centered in a fairly small area.
Good luck!
I think these things you can get away without but proceed with caution.
I'd expect maybe 2 people comfortably.
Anyone own this?
I've been tempted but have always hesitated due to mediocre reviews and cost of ownership.
Would love if someone who owned it could slap a smart outlet and track energy use
The bottom line though is that these do better than a lot of people think when you consider what you are getting for as little as you spend.
Not sure how you enjoy it at 6', my shoulders barely cover sitting 90 degrees
