FYI I used to love these puma socks when they made them with cotton, as my feet sweat a lot, but now it's a polyester blend which is the opposite of what I have. Just putting it out there
Personal and true experience-
For the longest time I was going by Slickdeals comments on socks and workout gear needs to be cotton and I missed out on many a deal for polyester socks or t-shirts. Then I gave in on an Adidas deal a couple of months back because I badly needed socks with summer and multiple sports sessions during the week (need 2 to 3 pairs daily).
I found that the polyester Adidas socks are very comfortable and much better than my cotton socks (which of course are older now). I'm not sure of what beef others have for such material socks but they definitely don't feel stuffy or bad. Perhaps material science has advanced to a stage where artificial materials are now good enough if not better than traditional cotton. We can agree to disagree on this but wanted to put these thoughts out here because I've been through the entire process on this.

Bought the 3 pair pack in black for grandson; it's a great price and he's always needing socks. Would have been better if it were 6 pair obviously! But 3 pair seems fine too for 7.99
*Should probably fix that in title of main post- it's def NOT 6 PAIR, it's 6 pack. (Or 3 pair)*

There is some truth to the polyester hate. Polyester socks used to be really bad compared to cotton. But advancement in technology has made that rule-of-thumb outdated. Almost all athletic clothing is now polyester or polyester blend for a reason. It is lighter and more breathable. Cotton is typically more absorbent, but doesn't wick as well.
The other option would be wool blend, which is much more expensive.
pic may be deceiving you as it only shows 6 socks (3 pairs)... but in description....

but for me (and I see others) I want some amount of real fibers in there not all synthetic
Somebody said these aren't the same as Costco ones, but I wanted to mention that I find the Costco ones more or less fine to wear, but they last approximately 10-15 wears and washes before they start to fall apart, and they legit fall apart. The old ones lasted approximately infinite.
I don't know what everyone's complaining about. I bought these and they're great. They're comfy and stay cool. No complaints.
Ignore the complainers, people here literally complain about EVERYTHING. I've never seen a more entitled group as a whole as some of the posters in this place.
they're definitely not junk, they're nice name brand socks for a dollar a pair. cheap cotton ones will stretch out and be no good in a few months anyway.

Edit: I prefer thinner socks with not much padding in the toes or heel.
