Um, IDK about this one for me folks.
I see Kitchenaid food processors frequently on the TV shopping channels HSN/QVC, so I went there to see reviews.
Not so good...just 2.9 out of 5 on there out of 205 reviews to date. Mostly about the plastic cup, latch, & no replacement parts.
After just under a year, starting to fall apart per say on these parts of the processor.
Ppl saying the quality of the brand isn't as good & reliable as it once was.
I think I'll search further for a a more sturdy brand to pop up....

edit: I received the silver one today. Better than expected! It looks brand new in very secure clam shell foam retail packaging with manual suitable for gift giving with zero cosmetic issues or signs of prior use. It's a good looking compact machine that most anyone will appreciate for light duty work like making loaded egg or tuna salad.

It does a nice job slicing shredding chopping carrots celery onion. The discs are sharp and can be set high near the feed tube or low. Low motor setting is for stirring. High speed is for disc use slicing and shredding or with the blade for chopping / light processing. Pulse increases the speed considerably for heavier processing and emulsification.

The fit and finish is quite good, The switches are firm responsive and easy to use. The plastic is bright and clear well designed for easy cleaning assembly and disassembly . The pieces fit together perfectly.

This model has been out a long while with mostly good reviews. I suspect they got a batch of bad motors. Hopefully this is now resolved but don't expect it to do the work of a 600 watt machine.

Currently $40 new at Costco. It'd be an easier return, seems like.

Definitely shows $99.99 for me. Where are you seeing $40?

I am afraid of buying a new one as my 40 year old Moulinex is still going strong. I don't think anything made today would be as well built.

Sorry, Google showed $40 which matches what I saw in store last week. Could be outdated.

This was my experience. I think this is the same model they had at my Costco warehouse. I returned it after the motor burnt up trying to chop up cubes of parmesan cheese.
the ninja model is way more powerful. This one was sold at Target with bad reviews. Not all KA is good stuff. Most is....

Taking a chance on it since we need a bigger one. Will only use for make sauces etc. and should go well with our KA mixer

Someone enlighten me why this is better than the more powerful Hamilton model at regular price?

This was on a deal for $69.99 in Costco last month. I have used it 2-3 times after purchase and had to return it as the motor burned. Saw similar issues in recent purchases by other customers. The motor quality seems very ordinary with these models and found similar user experiences from other sites like amazon who purchased this exact model.
Anyway enough said, it's a hit or miss, try your luck. If you buy make sure u test it well in 30 days u got to ensure you didn't pick a bad one.

Not exactly this model, but I had to reinforce the plastic parts with some epoxy on the outside multiple times. It seems to me that these are made with planned obsolescence in mind.

Not sure if it's the same model, but Costco's normally $100(?) model was selling for $60(?) during last month's sale. Seeing this great price I pulled my wallet out.
