Is there somewhere to fit a small padlock? This looks like a good size for my firearm but there's no point if it's not pad lockable so it can be either TSA or California Carry safe

Definitely too small for firearm. It won't even fit my oneplus 8 pro phone.

Thanks, I didn't check the height/width correctly. It's about half an inch too small

A recommendation for anyone that has a Harbor Freight nearby they sell a very nice imitation of Pelican cases. Their Apache line is solid and they go on sale frequently.

Those cases are IP65 rated only. That being said, the build quality is good.
