I got it. Checked out as guest and used a secondary email address.

HSN is so wacky… they charge crazy high prices for almost everything, then once in a blue moon they have a blowout deal. I got an 8" Fire tablet last year for $50 from them. Never opened it. Gonna see if polished up it can bring two bits on the open market.

Thanks OP! In for one. Was looking for a larger screen to view my huge library of Kindle cookbooks and magazines and was not excited about paying over $400 to replace my first-gen iPad Air. I can just swap my memory card from my aging 8" fire tablet. Love it!

I still have a 2015 version and even though its primary use is my kids watching movies, it's so slow to do... anything. Plus it's one of the few devices I have left that uses micro-USB. Definitely worth an upgrade for $70.

Great deal, considering these are 149.99 on amazon right now. There was also 15% cashback (that is if it wasn't in an excluded category... I didn't check that)

Shoot, I didn't realize I could get another 5% using Paypal with Discover. Oh well... my Chase card gives me an extra year warranty so that's worth that.

I just gave advise to people that have the older models an hour ago (look at my last post). I have the 2017 10inch model like you and NO LAG at all. And the amazon shopping app is super fast! Really fast! My tip again is, hit the BOX ICON at bottom of screen (you should see 3 ICONS, right?), and it will show all the apps/games/webites that are still active! If you have not done this EVER, you could have 20-30 tabs showing when you hit that BOX ICON. close them all, or close the ones you want to.
Another thing, do a factory reset at least once a year. This will remove crap on device. Now every time you turn on Device check for updates, and stay up to date. I have hd 8's from maybe 2 years ago, and they are snappy too. Just hit BOX ICON all the time, to and if it is empty, you have all the RESOURCES available to you again.

I keep noticing lots of people saying laggy. Do what I suggest and check back after closing all the apps/games with the BOX ICON. Smilie
