It's actually even less if you select the Ghost White version. I'm seeing $598. But the fact that it's 1650 and not the faster RTX 3050 is what's stopping me from pulling the trigger.
Can you really call it a gaming laptop with only 8gb of ram and a 256gb ssd? Can you even fit something like Call of Duty on there before the drive is full?

If you select Ghost white, the keyboard automatically goes to non backlit and that's why the $20 price reduction. Do you want to save $20 instead of having backlit keyboard?
Can someone please just make an affordable laptop that's capable of gaming and doesn't look like a tacky, plastic mess of LEDs?
They can and do. Take a look at the Lenovo Legion 5 Laptop that's still available on here. Similar components (better GPU), and $699.
There are all sorts of decent, sub-$1000 gaming notebooks, but of course you're going to have to make some concessions in terms of build quality and components.

That might be $10 of it. They do that on their HP ENVY promos also. They advertise an amount and it defaults to white, but when you choose black, it's +$10.

The White color has an optional backlit keyboard, by default it selects the none back-lit option so its 20 bucks cheaper.
Got it for 449 during last black Friday. I mainly play Fortnite at the highest setting and it runs smoothly overall. The fan is loud and the power management is a bit confusing. Overall well worth it.
Kinda funny how my Predator from 2017 with GTX 1060-6GB would still easily destroy this class of "gaming" laptops. This is the opposite of future proof, don't waste your money.
