I had the 4k OLED screen which is MUCH better calibrated. It only has a little bit of black crush on videos. I don't know about this screen.

I don't do anything like that. I just use high-powered chromebooks like regular chromebooks. Nothing better on the web.

Lots of variations of Linux do though.
Just boot off the external drive, usb, SDcard, etc and you don't even have to mess with the OS that's installed. In case you have issues with Linux or you want to go back to the chromebook.
