They have been using Kasa for their smart home products for many years now. I think it is similar to how Anker's smart home products are under Eufy, like cameras, door bells, etc.

Thanks OP, at this price it's worth it to just keep them around. Kasa works fine with Alexa, which brings handy voice control to these guys.

Are they just using the name Kasa instead of TP-Link these days?

Do people have any clever uses for these? I have one for a fan and one for a table lamp but I'll probably replace that with a smart switch

I use one for one of my stereos; when the stereo powers off the subwoofer emits a big "thunk." I put the whole power strip on one of these and use alexa to turn the stereo on/off.

I also use them for xmas lights, because they can be put on a timer (with our without alexa).

Back when one of my media PCs used to hang a lot I'd plug it into a smart plug so I could power-cycle it easily; I still have one connected to my slingbox, which hasn't died in a few years now.

I might use one of these with the more finicky wyze cams, since they tend to fall off the network occasionally. It's kind of ridiculous to use a $5 smart plug for a $20 camera, but I can!

You can use a Kasa camera as motion sensor to turn on and off these smart plugs.

I don't know about clever but at this price these work great with Christmas light decorations.

Because I had an extra sitting around, I recently started using one for a wax warmer.

Based on this thread, these seem nearly identical to the 103 models that I've got on here a few times. This seems like a great deal. https://community.tp-link.com/en/...pic/263664
