I own two of these. The newer one I got is built a little different and is glitchy vs my older one. I wouldn't buy this again. Go with quality NOCO. I also have other brand of chargers. Battery tender (the bigger one), Aukey, and craftsman?) They are all glitchy. A couple has overcharged my car battery. The old black and decker one is still solid. But the best is NOCO hands down, one of the best!

Don't be so sensitive. You shouldn't try to get validation from SD thumbs up/down.

These are good if you are around to monitor your battery state use a volt meter and make sure it goes into trickle charge mode (low current output). I made the mistake of using a cheap GooLoo 2amp trickle charger and it almost cooked my battery. My trunk was getting hot and battery was boiling, went and got the CTEC charger for 100 bucks and now I can rest assured my house wont burn down while im on vaca 6 weeks. My benz draw about 85 milliamps of current while in sleep mode which is a bit high. And i believe the cheap trickle chargers like this one don't sense that and keep charging at full amps therefore cooking battery. CTEC charges the battery to a certain state and when it drops below it charges it again which keeps from overcharging it.

First off he said take it or leave it, so your comment is unwarranted.

Secondly, when you share your time and experience to try to help your fellow man, it gets annoying when others sabotage it based on disinformation and for the sake of making sales.

He might be right saying he could just not post. I doubt even 1/4 the posts are made by individuals anymore.

So the reviews seem to indicate a percentage of these were left in a humid environment before being sold and rusted/corroded, I picked one up figure I will crack it open and see if I got a "good" one or not. Thanks OP.

Thanks op got 4, finally have enough to keep the collection topped off.

We've had a couple of these for years. One started clicking and not charging after like 3 years in the sun, so im happy with that. hopefully these 4 last longer being inside a garage.

Thanks OP - Ordered 3 and a cheap grocery item for free shipping. Will use on motorcycles and yard equipment.

A while back I paid $20+ dollars for the same one, but after using it a short while I sold it to someone who had a more urgent need for one.Never had a problem with it tho.

Walmart store pickup SUCKs in my area. They recently built a fancy Kiosk for store pickup orders, but after checking in and waiting around for a Walmart employee to show up I am usually completely ignored. So I usually limit online purchases to ones that I plan to buy enough item(s) to get free shipping.

just checked. its $25 without any coupon for this similar charger at harborfreight.

the $9 charger therr isnt the same category like this one.
