Same here. I usually strip the drm from Kindle files, xfer to epub, and then listen to the books using voice to text with this.
Years ago my then 8th grader figured out it had a built in browser and used that to get around my screen limiting/censoring security apps to get access to porn.

I have done this a few times. It's easier to just find the book online than get it from Amazon. I just bought a PDF from a small publisher and then converted it into epub with Calibre.
Is this in any way significantly better than FBReader?
