I bought this mouse in 2019 and I just replaced it. The left click started not working and reading reviews that seems to be a known issue with this mouse. Almost 2 years out of it isn't horrible I guess.

What do you mean by "slaps"? Moves? If so there is a button behind the mouse that stops the wheel from free spinning.

Owned mouse for 2 years and have not had a single problem.

Same. I got it in jan of 2020. Had the same problem in March 2020. Got it replaced. Then the problem happened again June 2021 to the replacement. They replaced it again. I love the mouse, but the left click issue just really sucks. At least the warranty dept is really good about replacing them.

Reliable mouse w weights you can adjust. Love the smooth/"notchy" scroll wheel swap options. The hump is a tad low tho, prefer the Model-O height for palm grip.

As an FYI there is a wireless version of this mouse and there is also a mouse pad that wirelessly charges it, so it is the convenience of a wired mouse (Never worrying about power) and the convenience of a wireless mouse (No wires to get tangled while gaming/critical porn watching). I bought the both the recharging pad and the wireless version of this mouse for around $200 a year+ ago and love it. I'd assume the price has come down by now.

The center wheel slaps when you move the mouse left and right. Super annoying

Well my experience with this mouse hasn't been good ...the buttons start double clicking after a year or so ...first time it was under warranty so after jumping thru few hoops they sent me a mouse after abt a month and the new mouse has started double clicking now after just over a year of use...

After reading so many reviews on double click issue, it's not worth the risk to upgrade from original G502. Original G502 is a workhorse that kicks arse and no issues after 2 years. If I bought an upgrade and it developed issues....I'd be pissed. What's the point anyway? A bump up in the sensor that I probably won't even notice...

Great mouse, but has poor build quality, mainly with its mouse wheel.

Have this mouse, using it right now!
Yes, the mouse wheel does 'slap' left and right. The wheel can sorta rock left and right ever so slightly when you engage the scroll.
It personally doesn't bother me and doesn't impact my light gaming/office use. I hardly notice it. But I can imagine more discerning users could be annoyed.

Same here for me. I ended up disabling the scroll side click. Problem solved for me since I don't use this anyway. Love this mouse.
