Any recommendations for one that supports smart homes such as Google Assistant? Want to set my mother up with controlling her audio with voice commands.

Also, curious which is best for 2.1 set up for a different application in a home gym? I have a spare Jamo J10 subwoofer I'd like to put to use.

You can turn any speaker to smart speaker by connecting an Amazon Echo Input to it. The Echo Input can be connected via Bluetooth or through an AUX cable with any speaker. The Echo Input can easily add Alexa smart features to your old speaker.

Thank you. That's the Amazon ecosystem. My mother is already involved in the Google Assistant ecosystem. Cross-compatible?

These have a humming white noise issue for me, brand new for pc. I feel they sound slightly better than the pro media klipsch but that white noise hum is a deal breaker.

I picked up a refurbished pair of R20000DB directly from the Edifier website last holiday season, to stream music from a Google Assistant. I ended up finding a used (now discontinued) Chromecast Audio, connected with an optical cable, as the sound quality, dynamic range seemed far superior to a bluetooth connection. Happy camper.

As someone who isn't a big audiophile at all but can certainly tell what sounds good and bad. These are absolutely excellent speaker's. I purchased these for $89.99 last Black Friday. I am using these as desktop speakers and not for a home theatre solution. As speakers for gaming, YouTube and streaming movies the range of these things are amazing. It gives a lot of depth and clarity and these things can get extremely loud. I had a few other speakers well in the $200-$300 range that did not perform as well as these and absolutely love them.
