I have nothing against the company. I bought and use their French Dip sauce concentrate. It's really nice.

But this sauce seems like a waste of money. Here is the ingredient list:

SUGAR, WATER, SOY SAUCE (WATER, SOYBEANS, WHEAT, SALT), RED WINE VINEGAR, MODIFIED CORNSTARCH, 2% OR LESS OF GINGER PUREE (GINGER, WATER, CITRIC ACID), GARLIC, SALT, MOLASSES, SPICES, XANTHAN GUM, PAPRIKA EXTRACT.

Maybe they have the percentages of sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, garlic, and others dialed in perfectly. But almost $15 for three bucks of ingredients? I would be glad to spend a few hours cloning their recipe and sharing it with the world for free. Unless someone has already done that?

Okay, a restaurant that wants fast, easy, and consistent results might value this. The modified corn starch is probably important to their sweet and sour crusted glaze.

Don't home cooks also want fast, easy, and consistent results? I think I'd rather have this on a busy weeknight than a sauce recipe.
