Not a deal, it's always listed at $300. The real deal is if it drops below.

Got it a few weeks ago from Amazon at $289. So far a great monitor. The BGR layout does not bother me, colors look good out of box, kvm switch works great (only through usbc connection) to my work laptop. Great specs for the price, especially if it goes lower

Yeah, it was $289.99 at Amazon a couple days ago. I own one and it has been a great monitor, the BGR layout does not bother me either.

We don't need a new deal (and discussion of merits) because the price went up $7.

This monitor has been posted at least 16 times since I received mine about 8 months ago.
Posts within the last couple weeks for $290.

The price has basically dropped from $330 to $290 over the 9 months since its release. For gaming at 27inch 1440p, 170hz, it has no peers. The KVM is great for productivity,

The BGR layout bothers some people some of the time. (me, using light text on a dark background that isnt changed with cleartype settings, for example RDP sessions or some smaller in game text)

Overall, I have had the monitor since December and I love it. I'd pay $400 if it was an RGB panel. I did need to send one back because it was damaged during shipping from Amazon.

Typing on one right now and having no issues with the BGR layout. Love the resolution, size and refresh rate. Only negative I have thus far is last week the KVM seemed to act up, where it would not connect my Keyboard / Mouse to my work laptop, but after several unplug / plug it back in with the USB connection to the laptop it resolved. I have not experienced before or after though.

Question though: I started using my previous monitor vertically, and am noticing terrible viewing angles with it in the vertical position. Any suggestions on a 27" 2k monitor that would pair well with this M27Q for a vertical monitor? High color accuracy / viewing angles being more important than Refresh rate for it.

Dell work monitors have been good for that for me. I've used several at work and they handle color and viewing angles in portrait pretty well. U2719D checks your boxes for QHD out-of-box color accuracy.
