Built-in KVM function is a nice bonus. Good for switching between work laptop and gaming PC.

Edit - looks like Amazon just price matched. When added to the cart, the price updates to $289.99.
Flipping the monitor does fix this issue, but you lose freesync/gsync functionality and you get increased input lag.

I don't game this would just be for work. I don't do design or anything with photo/video.

Edit: and if you do care, you could flip the monitor upside down. alternatively, see: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors...el_l
HOWEVER I think that free sync might not be supported on the Mac anyway, so you could probably just flip the screen 180 degrees as a workaround.
AND it looks like there might be a software workaround after all! Not my info, ymmv: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors...el_l

One last question if you don't mind. I was also looking at this monitor:
https://smile.amazon.co
Would this one be better?
---------------
Really great monitor for gaming, and the KVM switch's usefulness cannot be overstated if you've got a 2-device setup. Ton of ports. The BGR layout can definitely be annoying until you've made some adjustments - something you'll probably be doing A LOT if you're as anal about color as me.
On that front, I was underwhelmed with it for color accuracy. I purchased an Asus Designo monitor originally and was sincerely disappointed with it. I checked rtings before making another mistake, and purchased what they had recommended (this monitor) for media creation. It's... good but not great. Don't get me wrong, it's no slouch, but it's definitely not the gold standard when it comes to color reproduction. Very vibrant, very deep range, but both of those things seem to spite it sometimes. I've spent too much time in the settings already.
All of that being said... I am
still consideringpicking up a second one. However, this monitor is typically $319-$329. You aren't saving much.Sign up for a Slickdeals account to remove this ad.
i was thinking about buying it but not sure which is better
