You are correct. My bad. Looks like it was updated in August. It used to be that it had to have 4 bad pixels or they wouldn't exchange it if I remember correctly.
I paid 330 in December. Great for gaming and productivity. This monitor gets posted on slick deals at least once per month, usually every 3 weeks.
The BGR panel isn't great if you do a lot of work in with light color text on a dark background in apps that don't work with clear type. I do a lot of Remote Desktop work with visual studio and it's not easy on the eyes.
The newer 32 inch version of this monitor uses an RGB IPS panel. I would buy that panel instead of this 27 incher.
Rtings does a great write up on BGR panels where they specifically show reference pictures from the m27q.
This monitor is a great deal for 170hz blur free IPS 1440p.
I bought mine last month from Amazon. Best budget monitor for gaming and macbook according to rtings which is what I use it with. The KVM feature makes it easy to use one mouse and keyboard for both devices. My monitor doesn't have dead pixels or horrible backlight bleed so I might've lucked out. I think it's worth playing the panel lottery(maybe not through newegg) considering what you're getting for under $300.

Just wanted to say not everyone has problems with BGR subpixel layout. If you're on the fence I would wait for a deal on Amazon so you can return it easily if you don't like it.
Reviewers say amazing monitor but when I look at user reviews I see a lot of bad quality control issues. Anyone have experience with this monitor.
That's always going to be an issue with budget monitors, you have to be prepared to do an RMA if you get a dud or two. That's why I payed a little more and ordered from Amazon because I knew I could get a faster turnaround than with Newegg. Ended up getting lucky on my first try and got a perfect one a couple months ago with no dead pixels, IPS glow, etc. Incredible contrast and color gamut for the price. If you can swing it I would order 2 or 3 and keep the best one but I don't know how that would fly with Newegg.
