You're often better off finding a local store which sells grass seed made for your area, and adding topsoil.

My personal experience with this stuff is that it's generally way overpriced, grows fast, then usually dies when it gets hot. YMMV depending on your zone.

I've had better luck with peat moss than topsoil. Cheaper too!
