RIP Sennheiser.

Be aware these do not fit well on all ear sizes. They did increase the cup size from the previous gen, but it's still a fairly small headphone size overall

It's mean they will be better because now they have more fund to make better headphones etc...

This is wildly better than other audio companies being bought out by private equity firms. At least it's another audio company buying them out.

How does the 2 compare to the 3? I have the 2. Is there enough of a difference to justify it?

In for a pair. I have the original HD1 Pink Floyds that I got for $230 in 2018. Love them, but hated not being able to turn off the ANC or adjust the EQ at all.

Psyched to have those problems solved at a great price, and still keep my HD1 as a backup.

The consumer division was bought out. The pro line of Sennheiser is still in house, and 100% under their control.

Just note If you have a big head they are tight and become uncomfortable soon , I would get the Sony xm4 for the same price

Ear cups on these were too small for my large ears. Purchased some aftermarket pads that had slightly larger holes but still no good.
