Should I get the x90j or the x950h from last year? This is a TV for my master bedroom so I won't be doing any gaming. Not sure if I will take advantage of HDMI 2.1 on the x90j.

C90j has XR cognitive intelligence built in it I believe. See specs and see if it's the case. Then compare.

I'll go for the 950H. I had the 900H and 90J side by side and there is a difference in picture quality and colors but it's minimal. Last year I saw the 950H and the 900H and the difference was more noticeable. Like someone else said here, if you can find the 950H cheaper jump on it. The cool thing about the 90J is that you also get Bravia core for 2 years for free which is sony 4k steaming service only available on the 2021 models and at costco is $1299 with the $200 Bravia core credit and 5 year all state warranty. Read what this "accidental coverage" really covers. If it covers crack screens and drops is a no brainer but if it doesn't then the costco deal which starts tomorrow would be a better deal.
Ok hold on I just saw the link and I can tell you allstate aka squaretrade does not cover accidental damage this is false advertising. We give you the allstate warranty for 5 years for free. Buy it at costco.

I only see a 3 year warranty stated in the Costco ad starting tomorrow...

It's not an Allstate Warranty that's included here... it's a CPS 4 Year Accidental Television Extended Warranty.

What doesn't CPS's TV extended warranty cover?
This warranty does not cover any kind of damage to the TV, the cost of removal or reinstallation, or burn in on the television screen. Stolen TVs are also not covered.

Long story short the 950H is a bit better, especially if you can get it cheaper.

900h and this are equal, which makes sense since the x90J is the replacement for the X900H. Again probably get the 900H if it can be had cheaper.
Lastly, if you don't game and don't know if you will need HDMI 2.1, then you will *probably* not miss it.
