I got this the last time it was a front page deal but ultimately had to return it. It wasn't that it didn't work, it was that adjusting the arm took a lot of effort. So if you don't plan to move your monitor much once you have it set, not being able to adjust on the fly easily may not be a big deal.
However, the big problem for me was to really be able to move the monitors where ever you want, you need some space behind the monitors for the arms to protrude. My desk is shoved up against the wall and there's really not space for the arms to be positioned in a way where you can move them at all. I was able to get them so that they were side by side, but I needed to be able to move one monitor in a way where I can bring it forward and tilt in towards me and I was unable to do that because the arm kept hitting the wall, and the monitor kept hitting the other monitor which I didn't want to reposition. Perhaps if I had smaller monitors than the two 27 inch ones I have - but I needed a bigger range of motion and was not able to get it with this model.
2 single monitor arms is always better than 1 dual monitor arm, you will have more room to adjust them in the way you wanted; you don't have to manage more parts toward your wall. It is much safer to user and your desk as well.

this is a piece of shit. have 1 and it's so hard to adjust the height, you actually need a crank to do it and even that barely works. would rate this 0 stars if I can.

What did you end up going with, any recommendations?

I agree from a flexibility standpoint but if you're the slightest bit ocd you'll have to dedicate some time to makimg them exactly even. This is much easier with a single bar type mount that has two mounts
