Ok deal if you have a microcenter near by as you don't have to wait for the crazy shipping time. Still doesn't match up to the Walmart deal for $100 more or the previous Lenovo website deal (though many got cancellations). The pro 5 has a better and brighter screen as well. 3060 to 3070 is also a big jump.

The YMMV unicorn that led a lot of sour people looking for but never got, I almost gave up also but finally got one. Whenever someone mentions it the people who missed out get super sour and hate on you. Lol

Pro also has different cooling and is thicker maybe to accommodate the cooling. Haven't heard if it runs cooler.

One of the reasons I went for this is the screen size. If you're going to try to game on it, there's a big spread between a 15.6" screen and a 17.3" screen - it's about 25% more screen size but the same resolution, refresh rate and quality display. Most of the Legion deals are for the 15.6" model. I know the Pro is in-between, but that's also more expensive and generally unavailable to buy.

I think many people use a docking station when at home, that's what I plan to do. Docking station plus a 24" or 27" monitor.

Yeah, Microcenter has the 15.6" version for the same price but don't think that's a good deal.

This is normal price for a 3060. Also last black Friday 2060s dropped to 899 so this is not really any kind of deal.
Why do you always compare to black Friday? Do you have a time machine?

It definitely is quiet for a gaming laptop, while playing demanding games in a warm 79 degree room fans we're pretty much running around 30% load gentle hum, during benchmarks it ramps up maybe 60% still not too loud and stable 81c. While mundane office tasks and browsing the fan is either not on or really low speed I can't hear it at all. In a cold hotel room around 65 degrees the fans rarely make any sounds, thermal management is excellent in this Pro 5
