Contemplating between this deal and gigabyte aero https://slickdeals.net/f/15196636-gigabyte-aero-15-oled-xd-15-6-4k-oled-i7-11800h-rtx-3070-16gb-ddr4-1tb-gen-4-nvme-ssd-thunderbolt-4-win10-pro-1699-ar-f-s

Any advice one whether it's worth it to splurge 300 more on the aero?

I'm really leaning towards the legion, but only stickler I have is the last two lenovos I bought have been terrible, so a little hesitant to buy Lenovo again...

I picked up this laptop a few weeks ago and I really like it. Coming from an XPS 13 4k, this laptop blows it out of the water in all areas of performance. Played Hitman 3 on Ultra and UBOAT so far without a hitch. I wanted a gaming laptop but one as thin as possible and this fits the bill. The 165hz is very nice too. Overall I am very happy with it. I wish it had a 3070 at least but it's still very nice and $1400 is cheaper than what I paid.

Nice! Im curious to hear more about how the screen quality compares with your Dell XPS 13 though. I know there's a resolution drop, but how about the brightness, colors and contrast ?

Was it a rude awakening coming from Dell's 4K panels (which typically are some of the best on the market ) to a FHD panel on the Lenovo Slim ?

I'm just concerned that the FHD panel only gets to 300 nits. Thanks !

Going from 4k to 1080p is definitely a noticeable difference. The 4k is more vibrant but it was a glossy screen so outdoors in bright sun it was almost useless. The FHD panel isnt too bad and a bit better for outdoors due to being matte.
