That's like a 30 min flight right? laugh out loud It's actually around an hour flight, but ~ 5 hour drive.

I fly to a vendor in MI a few times a year. DTW is the closest large airport, about 2 hours away all highway. MBS is about 30 mins away, much smaller regional airport. If you fly to MBS, you stop in DTW on the way. The flight to/from MBS is a quick up/down as you'd imagine.

I stopped using the connection and I just drive from DTW to the vendor - by the time you take into account layovers and the short flight, I actually get to the vendor much quicker, and bypass the issue of that connection messing up my plans, especially when the flight from my home airport (BDL) to DTW is direct and frequent.
