Just like many big names now are only names on the product, and not who actually makes it (ie. GE), Honeywell thermostats are made by Resideo.

Just checked, that model is NOT for baseboard heater.

It's not $10. But it's great for baseboard heaters.

Resideo is a spin-off from Honeywell, they spun the controls and alarm off into their own company. Similar to how Johnson Controls spun their battery division off in the past few years.

Thanks OP, great for my rental condo. The temperature gauge on the front of the existing one (manual) doesn't show the right temperature

Different use scenarios. That will not work for baseboard or similar heat systems.

For those complaining about the design/size of this ... it looks so huge because it needs the hardware/circuitry to actively switch high current 240V electric to power the baseboard heaters. Typical home HVAC thermostats are switching low voltage signals to the control board in the furnace that handles the high power stuff. That said, there are smaller ones available. A few years back I installed some Honeywell digital units that are 2.75"W x 4.75"H, but they are non-programmable.
