Energizer, and I believe Duracell as well, have a leak guarantee program where they'll reimburse you if their alkalines leak. Also, white vinegar on a q-tip does wonders for cleaning alkaline leaks.
You would likely rather pull teeth than try to get one of those 'guarantees'. Essentially worthless.
alkaline = alka-leaks

Aren't you a delight? I'm just throwing it out there as an option for folks who have already had a leak happen. There's ways to clean the device or get reimbursed for it. Bonus points of you get reimbursed and then clean it. lol
Personally, I've mainly switched over to lithium and rechargeable cells for anything I wouldn't want an alkaline leak in.

I went and looked for some for my Blink cameras as well but all sold out near me.
buy the solar panels and never worry about the batteries again. They sell 3 packs on amazon.

Had great performance for keyless deadbolt. Tried various alkaline and they wouldn't last more than a couple months at best, 2 weeks at worst. Rechargeable 2000+mAh didn't fair well either, maybe about a month or so. These Lithium did a year no problem and were still going when we sold our house. I've got a stash of AA now from various sales, hoping to snag some AAA, as the majority of remotes and flashlights I have rely on AAA.

For most other things, NiMH rechargeables are still my go-to. The keyless deadbolt was kind of an important thing to keep operational at all times and having to change those batteries at a moments notice was at least a 4 minute job, not including finding the small philips head screwdriver that always seems to grow legs and walk off. Everything else is like a 5-15 seconds swap-job.

Checked my local store, which Brickseek said were in stock (even while I was there), but I couldn't find any, and an associate said they didn't have any. Beware.
Same experience. Went to two Target store near me that Brick Seek stated were in stock but they were nowhere to be found in store. One of the associates in the second store that I went to was even nice enough to check their inventory on the computer for me (slow day). She said they have been out of stock for weeks on the 12ct packs and have never restocked since. Only the 8ct has been regularly restocked. Good deal for those that could find it but the Brick Seek inventory level for Target at least is very inacurate.

Only had the 6 pack of AAs at my Target. Looked at about 5 different battery endcaps and even behind the AAA 20 packs. Nothing.

Using non-rechargeable batteries probably isn't the most economical. Buy some 18650 cells and have at it.
Isn't 18650 a 3.7V compare to regular AA which is 1.5V?

Just came back from a store that brickseek said was in stock but none could be found. Went to another store that said Limited availability but there were none.

You guys might want to check each checkout lane for batteries. I found a few of these a couple weeks ago on clearance in different checkout lanes.

Went out two stores that were supposed to have them in stock. But there were none or I looked in the wrong aisles. Brickseek did me dirty 😂

We got 2 packs of these from Amazon last year - they are garbage batteries. Didn't hold a charge AT ALL. I assume that's why they are 70% off.

BTW, Amazon wouldn't let me return them since I didn't use them to find out they didn't work within their return window.
Weird. These are the best, longest lasting batteries you can buy. They are the only option for long life 5-10yr applications.
