Use Turo. I was just there and worked perfectly.

wow I never got to fly alaska and I guess I never will. Priced out a flight I was doing for our Christmas family get together and on flights.google.com I ended up with 1700-2000, on Alaska? 7500

Alaska is a nice airline if you get a deal with them. One of the few airlines still allowing carry ons for free and great customer service. Youu will usually find the best deals with airlines that use your airport as a hub. I personally prefer using Kayak to search for flights; it has better filter customizations like landing/takeoff times.

It's free for most airlines on the upgraded classes. You better check your ticket. Even JetBlue just started charging for carry-ons on their Basic Economy starting April 1st (no, it wasn't a joke).

thanks for this info, I had no idea and I guess that's just another $$$ to factor into flying. Hard to fly 5x people around with all these fees.

It's their new scam just like gas prices from the interstate..U get to the pump and you find out to get that price you have to pay cash. Airlines trick people into booking flights at a ridiculously low price and then charge 30 to $70 for your carry-on(each way) and some charge for checked baggage as well. the only thing they don't charge for these days is your personal item which is the size of a backpack

It's literally cheaper to mail you're clothes to your destination and mail them back when you're done. I saved $7 each way by doing that when I flew to Denver in November. That included tracking and insurance

Since there was this pandemic thing going around...it was weird, people were quarantined, couldn't travel (which really killed the whole flying thing), were told to wear these really freaking ugly masks, had to stay 6 feet away from other people...total drag brah.

Cheers,

in all honesty, there were a lot of people that looked way better wearing a mask than without. But I get what you mean.

I like how clearly laid out terms and conditions are considered scammy and trickery because people refuse to do their due diligence. Yup, sounds about right. Illiteracy is a real problem in this country.

1. Subject deal is for midweek flights through December 15 (read the T&Cs).
2. MUCH too early to start looking for deals on Holiday travel; sweet spot is typically ~40 days out
3. Good luck finding a deal on any domestic holiday travel - record number of leisure travelers, airlines don't have enough staff

First time I flew Alaskan was in 2019 on a trip from KC to San Diego. Everyone had always raved about them and I found a smoking deal I couldnt pass up. Had flight delays in both directions and was left with a pretty bad first impression of the airline. Maybe it was just bad luck but I dont see all the hype.

Are you mailing them to a hotel or airbnb?
