I got burned by being cheap and going with a digital code for eset on ebay. Activated just fine and protected me for all of 5 days then deactivated itself on three machines. Seller disappeared and a quick google search of the code they gave me popped up all over the place.

Wouldn't trust a digital code again unless maybe seller was active for more then a year selling codes, 90% of the ones you'll see are out of the country with pretty new accounts.

Edit.. looking specifically at the link you sent, they do have a ton of positives but some negatives with folks getting eset and having issues price is decent though.

Buying an ESET code on eBay is just kissing your money good bye.It will deactivate in a few days after hitting ESET's update servers I too have seen EBAY code sellers disappear days after selling an ESET code. No buyer protection since its a digital product with no physical delivery. I'd buy from a reputable seller.

I've purchased the digital codes on eBay. I had a 3-year cold that deactivated after 2 years. I then purchased another three year code and it lasted a month. The seller gave me another 3-year code and so far it has been good for 6 months.

I went the shady route and have been doing so for years. No issues... that's not to say that there won't eventually be one, but so far so good.

I've bought from eBay as well and it deactivated like a month or two later but I was lucky enough to get a good enough seller. They apologized and gave me a different ESET subscription code. My subscription is still going to this day. But tbh I'd rather not push my luck these days and pay a premium getting the deal listed here from Newegg. This is still a good deal imo.
