Wrong. It doesn't matter if you've bought movies from them. What they mean by "first purchase" is your first purchase since the merger. I've bought a couple hundred movies from them and I got the 30% off. It showed the discount just before finalizing the purchase.

It's automatic. There's no code or anything. Choose the movie you want to buy, and on the confirmation screen just before purchasing, it'll show you the discount.

I thought I merged and verified my accounts when this was first posted but didn't attempt to buy a movie until today. The discount wasn't showing.
So I went through the process again and now after getting the 'Verify your email' again I got another 'Your FandangoNOW Account Has Been Added' confirmation email and the 30% then came off.

Sadly my 30% off discounts are going to expire without using them because I can't find anything I consider a super deal at current prices - 30% off. I browsed through their sales page hoping to find some TV seasons or complete series at great prices, but nothing stood out. Sure, there are tons of $4.99 movies but nothing I really want.

The 30% is off a single movie or TV season/series and not a cart full of stuff, right?

I doubt the 30% off applies to a M2D order, but even if it does that's a 60 cent to $1.50 discount. Big deal. The cynical part of me might think Vudu is not having any great deals right now because they're waiting for most of our 30% off discounts to be used or expire. In the past there would be threads with dozens of TV series, such as Parks and Recreation HDX for $29.99 (before discount), but not surprisingly not during the 30% off.

Haven't most studios already pulled most of their stuff and moved it to their premium services?

I've always wondered about how strange it is that every studio was creating its own streaming service pulling their movies/series off Netflix or Amazon or wherever that used to have most stuff in 1 place. We went from conveniently having almost everything on a couple services to having to pay $7-$10 monthly subscriptions each at many studios. I kept thinking somebody is going to come along and bundle these services (like Sling TV) to make it easier and save people money. It'll be like the old phone companies that started merging, then they got broken up, and then when the gov stopped paying attention AFAIK they started merging again.

Fortunately for me, I already have more than I can watch on Netflix, Disney+, the theater, and media I already own, so I don't subscribe to any other studios. I don't know what I'm missing on HBO, Paramount, Peacock, Warner, etc. There is something to be said for being ignorant of the latest made-for-streaming movies or TV series because I don't miss not watching them. Ignorance is bliss. Cool story, bro.

Yeah it's a mess -- it's been more than 3 weeks and they still haven't resolved the inability to merge accounts (sends an expired link or fails to recognize the Fandango password).

I used my 30% code on Star Trek 3-Movie Collection (UHD version) (3-movie collection, featuring Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond) = $12.59 (the bundle was already on-sale before the 30% off).
I've been meaning on getting just the first Star Trek (UHD), but figure a few bucks more to the get the other 2 was a good value. Though I think the first was the best <g>.

I've been trying to contact them for two weeks with no luck. They have promised FandangoNow gift cards can be redeemed on Vudu, but me and many many others are facing issues and not getting response.
