Might not be the best deal but any deal for this game is worth it imo.
Its the most polarizing game ive ever played. On one hand you want to throw your switch out the window just about every level -- but on the other hand you can't stop picking it back up and torturing yourself for another 50 deaths until you have to dig the switch out of the fireplace.
Its worth the ash damage
It appears that the All Time Low for this was $9.00 but it was quite some time ago and it appears to have been brief and the only time it was ever that low. It has been $13.99 a few rare times.
Like others have said, this is a great game even though it is a bit frustrating. The art style is fantastic!
As a side note, if you are savvy and want to save a little bit more cash you can change your eShop settings and buy from the Argentinian eShop for $8.17 (or Brazil for $9.61)

I feel that way about Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze.

I personally never felt as much rage against Cuphead as I did with Dark Souls III or parts of Sekiro (hello Demon of Hatred). Had all Cuphead bosses S'ed in two to three weeks. Not easy by any means but there are harder video games if you're a glutton for punishment.
Challenge aside, there is nothing like this game out there. The presentation, the live band, the painstakingly hand drawn art, the tight controls. It's been on sale for less but IMO it's worth more than $15.
Fwiw, I really enjoy Dead Cells and wanted something similar, but this felt very linear (levels) and slow. Great production value all around, but it wasn't my cup of tea. Love the art though.

Took your advice. Need tips on digging my Tesla out of the fireplace.
Tried to play it only once. This game is just too hard and unforgiving.
