I just bout this last week for $545. Went to see about getting another one and found the price dropped $96. Fortunately Amazon refunded the difference but if you are in the market for a seascooter this one has been great the two weeks we've been using it, almost daily.

Be sure to check the reviews. I havent had any water issues, the throttle and safefy are flimsy but I feel its partially by design as it works fine and wont easily snap off. Recharging is relatively easy too, I haven't needed to use the pump yet to get the cover off. I make sure to use silicone grease every time and no water has seeped in.

The kids love it too. Im glad we didn't get the less powerful model. Our 6 year old has no problem with this thing and can lift it out of the water if needed to. We mostly use it in shallow water and snorkeling, I've only gone down about 15 feet with it. Battery lasts about an hour. We top it off each night.

My neighbor was bragging about getting one of these a year or two ago for the pool. I couldn't help but laugh, but they do look pretty cool if you live in an area where you could snorkel with it.

I always thought these things are cool but being in the Midwest with either algae bloom lakes or normal swimming pools there's not much practicality besides just goofing around with one.

Why laugh? It's fun to be able to have one to pull you around.

Thanks OP. Been planning a bank heist in Venice and this will come in handy.

Do these work well in salt or chlorinated pool water? I'm just concerned that oxidation will get accelerated with all the pool additives.

Now all I need is a deal for a strap-on shark fin.

What if the kids let go of this, will it float back to the surface?

If the kid can swim, then yes.

We rented similar in Grand Cayman a few years back. They were a blast. If you were going fast and moved your head the wrong way your mask would be pushed/pulled off by the water/speed. We covered a lot of ground using them.

Actually used to track these for a long time, hence my slickdeals alert here. Decided to go with something more solid as I have a 16000 acre lake in my back yard to tool around in and bought the Sublue Navbow from costco on the second prime day this year. On sale for $750 with a $50 off $500 code (god bless Slickdeals). But back to this one, been as low as 320 on the camel and can often be had in the $400 range. Sublue makes a whiteshark something model that goes on sale at costco in the $350 range and if I were in the market I'd probably wait for that one to go on sale.
