I've posted it before, but The Sky is an absolute bargain and the best deal out of everything here. It's three books of the best artwork in gaming period, I paid three times this for the hardcover edition and would gladly do again.

I've posted it before, but The Sky is an absolute bargain and the best deal out of everything here. It's three books of the best artwork in gaming period, I paid three times this for the hardcover edition and would gladly do again.

If you played D&D in the late 80s/early 90s the Dungeons & Dragons Art & Arcana art book is a must. Contains just about every iconic image from the guide books, modules and more.

Is it worth it to buy some of these and somehow frame the artwork to put on a wall? I can't find any pictures of how the pages look.

Depends on the book, but yes! Some are actually designed to be taken out and framed and come in a nice size (like 11x17"), others (like most of the "art of.." game books are in more of a book format and might have a couple photos that can be framed, but most will be smaller images and have text. Ones like that Sky: Final Fantasy book would work great as framed photos.

Best bet is to just YouTube the title of the book since most of these have flip-throughs to give you an idea of how they look.

Amazon has the book dimensions which helps a lot. I've had a number of these which worked great for just removing pages to frame, but each will be different.

That's the Encyclopedia, right? If you're looking for a Mario artbook, the Odyssey one is delightful and features a ton of concept art, sketches, and artist commentary.
