People can be incredibly picky about:
1. Meds in general
2. Allergy treatments
3. Things they put in their eyes

They will often stay with a drug that they've had positive results with. It's also possible that they are in the minority and one drug just works better van a supposedly a superior treatment. Or maybe back in the old days their insurance company would only cover Zaditor, not Patanol, and they stuck with it and never tried Pataday.

When I google Pataday generic, it shows a Walmart price on the top of the page for $12.98. When I click into it though, it shows $14.

Pataday lasts 16 hours and you can only use it once per day. This other type lasts 12 hrs and can be used twice per day for the total 24hrs. Pataday is only four hours more only per drop. This Alaway doesn't tell you country of origin so I find that weird considering that even generics of this type tell you place of manufacturing so my guess it comes from China. I don't mind if things come from China if they actually label it. Zaditor is made in Italy, seen generics made in Switzerland and Pataday original is made in Japan.

Picked up the Alaway for my wife. She wanted to try it, but then she saw the Lumify on Amazons best seller list and wanted me to get that as well. She likes the Lumify for redness removal and she said the price is good. So instead of just spending the $8.85, I also got to spend an additional $13.60 (plus taxes on both). Oh well - happy wife, happy life...
