For anybody that decides to actually use the "extended" part of this oil and try to go 15-20k miles on it, often on engines designed for 5-6k mile oil changes, make sure you check your oil every couple thousand miles. It's not uncommon to burn up to 1/2 quart of oil during a normal oil change interval. Extend that out and you may find yourself low on oil risking your engine if you don't check and top up.

I personally haven't had an issue yet. I plan to submit the rebates right when I get the oil so I have 90 days to return if the rebate doesn't arrive. Kinda curious if I would have issues returning after submitting the rebates tho.

I personally think the Extended Performance is a great deal - one of the best "normal priced" synthetics out there and at $25 for 5w30 or 5w20 for 5qt. jugs at Walmart.... MINUS a $15 rebate... it's a better deal than their standard synthetic, making it a no-brainer @ $10. I still change the oil every 6000 miles at that price. (Walmart also had my Jeep Wrangler Mobil 1 oil filters on clearance for $2 awhile back and I stocked up on those) Two rebates per household, and they seem to have this rebate deal almost every year - although the $15 on Extended Performance seems to be a new option.

I also use Mobil 1 automobile synthetics in my motorcycles for over 15 years with great results. (currently a Suzuki inline-4 1250cc using 5w40 or 15w50)

I've done the rebates with Mobil 1 products purchased at Walmart for probably around 10 years and never have had an issue - even before Walmart was on their rebate "approved retailer" list.

In store i think they verified the physical receipt quickly and gave gift card

I'm stocked up atm so hopefully it will extend to next year
