I guess you can swap battery halfway and start charging that battery while you use the other battery.
but the battery latch on my leaf blower failed recently and now the battery doesn't stay in unless I hold it. I reached out for my warranty almost two months ago and nobody has gotten back to me despite repeated attempts.
the 4 year warranty on the box sounds great, but it's meaningless if nobody actually helps you...
just my 2 cents if you're on the fence and reliable support is important to you...
I have a 3rd battery from the blower+trimmer combo, but if I had just 2 batteries in your situation I would just watch the gauge as I am going. Probably half way through your cut you will see that the first battery is dead and it has shifted to the 2nd. Would take a quick break and pop the dead battery on the charger and resume. By the time the next one is dead, if you still had some lawn left to cut, the 1st battery is going to be back to 100% to finish up.

So, it sounds like it would be very close for you, in the best of conditions. Odds are over time you wouldn't quite be able to do it on one charge with the 2x4Ah.

The batteries are ridiculously priced. Considering trying a 3rd party battery off of Amazon (40V in my case)... Anyone have experiences with that?
Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the purchase. That said, my prior mower was a 10yr old Black & Decker cordless that always needed at least one recharge mid-mow, and often required multiple passes on anything remotely challenging (i.e. long or wet grass). By the end of its life, it was a piece of shit (even though it still got the job done - eventually). The Greenworks is an absolute monster in comparison. Point is, my opinion should probably be taken with a grain of salt.

I think I'll buy a new single blade model like this BUT I'm going to just wait until the winter when this will likely be a bit cheaper
