The K400 blender - which by all accounts is a solid blender - is only 80 bucks at kitchenaid.com. If you get a coupon (they have some popups - enter your email for 10% off extra) you can even knock the price lower.
Not sure what's going on with this blender, as it's been anywhere from $99-$144 at Costco and $269 now elsewhere. The MSRP keeps going up, they've added a tamper, but otherwise it seems to be the exact same machine.
Colors are Black Matte and Contour Silver.
Anyway, $80 for certified refurb is a solid deal, I picked it up in Black Matte. Hope this helps someone.

Looks like it's six months--and I believe that, since a warranty is offered by the manufacturer, credit cards (like the Citi Costco Visa) will extend it two years from the end of the manufacturer warranty.

Super weird this model (no tamper) is an old MSRP of $129 and now it's something like $299. No change in model or description. Nothing. I guess people value things more if they spend too much?
