At 11.6" and a mediatek processor, shouldn't this price be retail? I got multiple 13" Intel (or was it AMD?) Chromebooks for $179 6 months ago. Those Seem like a better deal, and the price lasted for a while at Walmart. Seems like this 24 hour deal is just push for people to impulse buy

I will pass this time. We grabbed the Acer spin 311 with this processor at walmart in june. Its fantastic for a walking around laptop.

This is still a slick deal if you dont want a 2in1.

These entry level Chromebooks are basically good if your kid needs one but the school doesn't provide it, or you want something small and light for taking notes in class and accessing e-textbooks.

I've found that the keyboards for this size Chromebook/laptop are not suitable for touch typing...only hunt and peck.

Nice to have these things laying around the house and this is a solid deal. That said, I've had battery/power problems with HP so I stick to Acer and Lenovo for my cheap Chromers.

When you look at the specs, remember this is Chrome OS, not Windows. Web browsing is pretty much all you can do with it, and you'll get a much smoother experience with weaker specs than the same thing on Windows. I wouldn't make it my daily driver, but for kids, or a lightweight web browser when you're away from your big powerful gaming desktop, it could be fine.

Web browsing is definitely not all you can do on a Chromebook these days. You should get one and see just how capable they really are.
