I think that was the ecobee 4 on woot.

This is ecobee5. Difference is Bluetooth, 2.4 and 5ghz wifi, some better Alexa integration. So depends if you feel that is worth it for $50 more

My Eccobeee just went out (long story) So I am in the market for a v5 but haven't been monitoring prices. I have dumb thermostat right now so no rush. Is this a good deal or a great deal? Should I be patient or jump on this.

Based on history this is sort of the standard low price deal. I believe same price during prime day. Maybe it will go lower in the next few months. Or you get more outlets selling this at this price going forward. Also more bundles… like adding in cameras or extra sensors. So if that is important to you, then wait.

The Lite version is positioned to be the "affordable" sku… so I doubt this model would go down to "Lite" prices.
