I think they are referring to the point that Amazon piles all products(same sku or id) irrespective of the source in the warehouse. If some old stock, a knock-off of sorts ends up in that warehouse pile you may end up with that knock-off irrespective of who the seller is. Walmart on the other hand get the product directly from the manufacturer. This issue has been discussed in the past. Some sellers do not use Amazon warehouses just for this reason.

Above understanding is just my opinion and I have noticed that especially with grocery items.

No, I'm to the point I don't trust anything sold on Amazon.

for 1.... the people you responded to were not being aggressive, they were only posing a question. no need to get all "what the heck" attitude on people.

for 2. your anecdotal experience means little against the facts of the situation. google: "amazon commingled inventory". walmart and the grocery store buy their products through legitimate channels and can be traced directly back to the source. because amazon has 3rd party sellers, and they mix inventory, that supply chain integrity is out the door..

basically, you, as a 3rd party seller, can buy a bunch of widgets, and have them shipped to amazons warehouse.. you can then sell them on amazon for whatever price you want. amazon puts your pile of widgets in with their pile of widgets, and then when someone buys a widget. they pull it off of the same pile, whether it was bought through amazon, or some 3rd party seller. so if i, the 3rd party seller, buy, either knowingly or unknowingly, counterfeit widgets, there is an equal chance of you ending up with a counterfeit widget whether you buy through amazon, or 3rd party.
