Edit: They did not. Just copied+pasted a wall of text about how prices can change and their rules do not allow price matching, etc. I asked the agent if they understand that Amazon will lose more money if I return it for free and re-buy. They said yes, but that's the policy.
So I'm returning it to Amazon and just ordered it from Lowe's for $139. One less purchase to fund Bezos's next phallic space trip.
A few tips I've learned in that time:
- Ebay and Amazon you can find 7Ah and higher batteries (with warranties) that are heavier but give you a much longer runtime. Wait until you've completed your "set" though because if you get like a sawzaw or chainsaw, and a weedwacker, the 3 battery packs may be enough for all you need. But most likely if you do the 20v weedwacker you'll want a larger battery so you can use the 2-setting for the whole yard.
- Craftsman makes a corded Matrix (craftsman Bolt-on) drill relatively cheap; if you're sawing all day, nice to just cord it and get full power non-stop.
- The packaging + booklet does not "sell you" on the oscillating tool; try out one with a saw tip; it's incredibly useful for doorframes and fencing, for little spaces I thought were impossible. Wish I had known sooner because I didn't even use it the first year, I thought it was only for pulling up flooring (which it does work well for). Buy a good saw-tip for it and you'll love it.
- For Matrix accessories: Do not bother with the "Tire Inflator/Air Pump" nor the Matrix mini circular saw. The reviews for the inflator will tell you what I found (it doesn't work at all), and the mini Circ saw is too not only too small, but with the slow blade guard and it's light weight it is just dangerous. Buy the full size 20v circular saw, it's far better to wield. There's also a sawzaw for the Matrix; It's shape was too troublesome or dangerous in my uses, I ended up with the full size 20v sawzaw and it's been one of my most used. The 4-piece B&D 20v combo set with full size Circ saw, recip-saw/sawzaw, flashlight, and extra drill goes on deep sale a few times a year.
- If you want a 20v worklight, get the B&D one, oddly the craftman version sucks in comparison lol.
- The weed wacker and hedge trimmer really need higher Ah batteries.
- If you have many of the newer B&D/Craftsman "v20" batteries (ugh don't get me started) you can get an adapter on eBay that converts it to the "20v MAX" connector (I believe it's now called PowerConnect on some accessories).
- All these tools are 20v, however, B&D makes some more powerful 40v tools- in my experience, those batteries+tools are problematic, and the batteries are expensive and harder to find. I recommend getting a cheap "tool only" 20v version of accessory you need, and just get an off-brand high Ah 20v battery for it. This applies to: String Trimmer, Leaf Blower, Hedge Trimmer, and potentially chainsaw. In my short usage (I borrowed it) I found the chainsaw not ideal - too underpowered for it's size, too large and light for it's power; it's also terribly over-priced. I bought myself a $20 Corded harbor freight chainsaw thinking "if it at least lets me cut up this tree it's worth it" and it has amazing worked for year, despite being cheap in every way.
- Also related to the 40v set, no version of the Lawn Mower is remotely useful from what I can tell; the v60 mower is the only one that's practical, but it's overpriced and the batteries are relatively expensive and rare. I've been able to mow my corner yard with the v60 mower, but it often needs the 2nd battery to finish it. I would only recommend it if like me you were able to get it new half-off when they are clearing stock.
I've used most of the 20v tools, and I'm a big fan of modular + re-usable batteries so let me know if you have questions on this set. My plan was always to start with this cheap modular set (got all of it on black friday, on sale, or local new/like new) and if I was wearing them out or having issues I'd upgrade to a nicer/robust brand- but so far these have done well, but then again I work pretty slow, and have multiple drill bases; it's not going to cut it for everyone's use case.

$20 a tool, for this, is a great deal.
I have this system, and like 10 different attachments, and I love it.

Looks like replacements costs $45.
Anyone know any better deals or aftermarket batteries that last?

I just wait for deals on batteries like the Lowe's deal about a month ago for $15. Ended up getting 4 of them. Black and Decker have suited my needs just fine.
You can also buy refurbished tools for less than a battery. I just give the tools away if my friends don't have them already and keep the battery.
EDIT: I was wrong! There was a gift card that was applied that I did not realize was applied to the order. The price was $159. This is a great deal
