I almost did this because the deals for S21 Ultras have been hard to find lately... The last good deal was Prime Day in June.

Instead, I ordered from Samsung direct yesterday...
  • $1049 ($200 off) unlocked 256GB Ultra
  • 5% discount for EPP/etc
  • $30 off for old Samsung S7 with "cracked screen trade-in" pricing
  • 12% cashback from popular site
and once I activate within Xfinity, $50 bring you own credit. So net I am at $800 before sales tax, and I don't need to stay with Xfinity for 24 months if I choose to do a carrier change later.

Cool...if you are existing customers then you get $400 GC..+$150...Samsung credite...so the phone will be $550 less...around $550...for new customers it will be $400 in bill credits for 24 months

No, that's for the new flip/fold phones introduced on Tuesday. The S21 Ultra is a $350 GC only if you upgrade an existing line, or $350 in bill credits over 24 months if you add a new line.

$500 net cost for the S21 seems pretty good. I called them to confirm that for a phone upgrade on an existing line, you get the $300 VISA card but not an additional discount (of around $12 monthly) for bringing a line from another carrier. The cost of the phone is $33 per month for upgrading to the S21 (plus tax, which is paid up front)..

Has anyone noticed yet how long you must stay with them if you take the $50 credit? I set everything up to get it when it was $25, but I have not activated still. For the $25 you had to stay 3 months. I have a feeling for $50 they extend it to 6 months? Otherwise you'd be getting paid to stay there if you only stay 3 months and do the 1gb plan.

Also any idea how long I have to activate for the one I already got from them? lol. I've had the sim card here for several weeks.

edit: you are only required to stay 90 days even with the $50 offer! So if I can get them to honor it since I havent activated under the $25 one, I will try it. That means even after fees you basically get 3 almost free months of service.

ps as an fyi comcast tells TONS of false information when you talk to them.

For instance, 2 different people told me I could go to the store to get my phone activated even though they already sent the sim card, where I could do it quicker. Nope. Went there and they said they couldn't do it.

Also, the guy on the phone said there is no commitment and you will get the gift card mailed out in around 3 weeks. NOPE. The terms said I had to stay for 3 billing cycles and the card wouldn't be mailed for close to 6 MONTHS.

That is part of why I am considering not even activating and getting red pocket instead. Comcast can't be trusted on their info and I have known people where they refused to take off bogus charges of hundreds of dollars before.

Pay attention to this thread in the future, where you can see me inevitably show you their bad level of support. The guy told mevoer and over and over that even though I signed up under the $25, that activating is what determines the promotion and that I will be given the $50 if I activate now. I asked him to note it on my account and he claimed he does, that automatically, but I bet you anything they only send me a $25 and argue with me about it.

Xfinity has been great.

2 lines $90, unlimited.

Had AT&T for years, never had service and was paying $160 for 2 lines.

Looking into getting a new phone,I might just wait tho.
