1. Use PLASTIC/WOOD spatula
2. Remove leftover rice after your meal, add water to cover the bottom. Simply rinse and wipe the pot on the next day.
3. Never leave rice in the pot overnight

it's not like a car that I can just park in a questionable neighborhood and leave the keys on the front seat

YOU DO NOT NEED THIS IF YOU HAVE AN INSTANT POT
Edit: Actually the previous post does make a good point: if you need rice to be on hand all day, the Tiger will do a better job.
However I would argue that most people don't need that, and you can turn off the keep warm feature on a per-cook basis on your instant pot and the rice will stay very warm in the stainless steel bowl without drying out for at least an hour if not two.

2 cups rice, rinsed
2 cups water plus I favor an additional splash
That's basically it. The instant pot is extremely picky about the amount of water you use with your rice, which is why I'm hesitant to give exact figures, but once you nail it for your model you should find that it makes exemplary rice. Or at least, as good as my $200 rice cooker ever made.
