It's not. I don't understand the point of this product either. It's actually worse than the C1 (same screen size and refresh rate - probably same panel, FreeSync instead of GSync, worse warranty, no TV tuner, etc.)

Both Newegg and Gigabyte have terrible customer service with a history of screwing customers. Buying something large and expensive from them is risky because if you have issues you're probably in for a world of headache.

It depends on what features you need.

1. Earphone Jack
2. USB Hub
3. Displayport Interface

If you find value in those items for the price difference, that is what would make it better. There may be other features not mentioned. (Power consumption, speaker quantity/quality, color accuracy and calibration, etc.)

Finally, what prevents me from getting an LG C1 48 inch is the stand and depth required from my desk.

This display may have a better configuration if you do not have a mount.

Theres a good chance they are lying about the response time. When you scale up, the response time tends to start eating shit. This is why TV's have such shit response times(frequently even when putting them in gaming mode). Reviewers rarely have a good way to test this, and so manufacturers just lie/fudge the facts.

Is it actually comfortable to sit in front of a monitor this size? Trying to decide what to pair with my 6800xt. At the moment thinking of getting two 27 inch. One 4K and other 1440p

Not really. Some people manage it but you need a pretty deep desk to even attempt it. It's excellent as a monitor otherwise though; lovely display, gsync, 120hz, HDR, etc. Fantastic response times.

As others have said... there's no point in getting this over the LG C1 or LG CX unless you really want the USB C input and built in KVM switch. Otherwise it's the same panel but worse overall in every way.

As for the USB C input... kinda useless considering that you can generally just use an adapter. You wouldn't get 4k@120hz + HDR... but if you're running it via USB C, nothing supports that over USB C as is. Only loss would be VRR.

Currently this is probably the only one 120 Hz OLED 4K Monitor for gaming, apart from the LG TV. Tom's Hardware has reviewed it and their response is highly positive.

Wouldn't a C1 48 be a better deal? They are pretty much exactly the same price.

Also, I have a 2080Ti, I will eventually upgrade. I am still concerned about burn-in on Windows 10, I'm debating this one or their 43" LCD. Which one would be a better choice? Mainly for every day PC use and gaming, no TV/movie viewing- exclusively used as a PC display.

It's glossy. from Tom's review.

The screen is finished in a high gloss that prevents ambient light from washing out the image, but we could still see things like lamps and sunny windows reflected on the screen. The FO48U will pick up any light source in its field of view. Placement should be carefully considered to keep distracting highlights from spoiling the stunning image.

Yeah I would just go for the LG 48" C1 OLED, it usually has better deals and I think Costco sells it as well and their return policy is much better then trying to pack up this Gigabyte monitor and ship it back to Newegg. I've heard Newegg can be rough for returns on items like this as well but not sure how accurate those are.
