Yeah I would just go for the LG 48" C1 OLED, it usually has better deals and I think Costco sells it as well and their return policy is much better then trying to pack up this Gigabyte monitor and ship it back to Newegg. I've heard Newegg can be rough for returns on items like this as well but not sure how accurate those are.
Oh wait Costco sells it?

Glossy it matte? I will buy if it's matte
All oled is glossy, and makes for a better image

I don't understand why ppl want matte.. gloss looks better, and contrary to popular belief, it's better at fighting light reflections per rtings

As others have said... there's no point in getting this over the LG C1 or LG CX unless you really want the USB C input and built in KVM switch. Otherwise it's the same panel but worse overall in every way.

As for the USB C input... kinda useless considering that you can generally just use an adapter. You wouldn't get 4k@120hz + HDR... but if you're running it via USB C, nothing supports that over USB C as is. Only loss would be VRR.
the USB-C useless? what, it's probably the best feature, even without the 120hz.

I'm not sure why you're surprised? There's been so many deals on Costco LG OLEDs.

It's useless in the context of what you sacrifice in not going with the LG OLED; a worse display in nearly every way excepting the usb c input and kvm switch. You'd get 4k@60hz with an adapter on the cx and you could get a kvm separately. The built in kvm and USB are nice features but they don't justify the performance delta between this and the lg

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Both Newegg and Gigabyte have terrible customer service with a history of screwing customers. Buying something large and expensive from them is risky because if you have issues you're probably in for a world of headache.

Glossy screens are more distracting because they create a mirror effect for objects that matte screens do not.

Agreed. Bought a Gigabyte video card from Newegg and they both screwed me. Will only buy from EVGA/Amazon moving forward. EVGA has taken great care of me.

There's no way in Hell I would buy a $1400 monitor from Newegg. Their customer service is horrendous, and their return policies are equally bad.

I would recommend getting it from Amazon. They often lower the price to match Newegg.

But my first choice would be getting the LG OLED instead. The LG quality is better, their track record is better. I'll take the LG warranty over Gigabyte.

All depends on personal preference. I hate glossy as it tends to build up dust more and glare/reflexion from other light sources get super annoying

I agree with Amazon over Newegg. The problem is Newegg subverts the Amazon pricematch process by using annoying coupon codes.
